Last day of January!

Who else is ready for summer?!? Well, I'm guessing not many people check this blog out but if you see this blog after searching for Eau Claire coupon blogs, yes, I created this one, and no, I never had the time to keep up with it. There are SO MANY resources out there for national stores and deals, yet there was really nothing for Eau Claire stores such as Mega, Gordy's, Festival, Ron's... I started doing match ups for Gordy's and Mega but found it to be way too time consuming considering there wasn't a lot of readership out there, and the deals at our grocery stores are pretty sparse compared to bigger chain grocery stores, such as Safeway or Albertsons.

I've been couponing for over 3 years now and I have looked at a LOT of blogs. My favorites and the ones I recommend to all my friends...

Hip2Save. great all-around deal and coupon site. usually first to post many deals.

Totally Target. all about Target! and Eau Claire actually has Target! so a great resource

My Frugal Adventures. all-around deals, very nice layout, simple and easy to follow.

The Coupon Project. good resource for education about ethical, common-sense couponing. lots of ideas for healthy living and tools for budgeting.

I'm still here, and I'll still check in from time to time.

printing suggestions

Maybe this is common sense, but it may help someone. When printing coupons on paper that do not print and ad, turn the paper around in your tray. Use paper that has little writing on the back. Change your printing settings to grayscale and definately no color. Laserjet printers would be a great investment. 2500+ prints!

Hello out there!

Well as you can see I haven't posted a lot. Our family has been doing a LOT of projects outside. If anyone is reading this, or even casually checking in, I'll put some small posts once in a while but I never know when I'm going to have much time! :) I have links to a lot of neat blogs in my blog list, that updates a few times a day... which is cool...

I have this idea that when I do grocery store match-ups, like Gordy's, Mega, and Festival, I'm going to only post ones that I can link to printable coupons. This is because here in the wonderful city of Eau Claire, our paper has only a really tiny SmartSource with hardly any coupons in it. The only way to get the other inserts is to buy the Star Tribune, which is a pain... I can't get it delivered and I'm assuming neither can anyone else. Except for the gas station, lol...

Anyhow... hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather! I sure am! :)
